Aviation Logistics is planning to use Vertiia for mail drops, patient transfers and passenger flights from seven bases in Australia.
The Australian-designed Vertiia is the world's first Vertical Take Off and landing (VTOL) aircraft designed to be powered by green hydrogen and will revolutionise passenger and cargo transit and emergency response.
It expects to bring the Vertiia into service after it is granted certification by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, expected in 2027.
IP Group Australia is proud to have been an investor since AMSL Aero’s first funding round in 2019.
IP Group Australia led a subsequent funding round in 2022, with TelstraSuper and Hostplus also investing.

The private sector order is a significant step forward for AMSL Aero as it prepares to bring its world leading zero-emissions aircraft Vertiia to market.
AMSL Aero, which was started in 2017 by Mr Moore, an aeronautical engineer with 20+ years’ experience in the aircraft industry, and Ms Lyndon, who has 20+ years’ experience in the technology, telecommunications, and professional services sectors.
The husband-and-wife team have since grown the company to over 50 employees and raised more than A$50 million from private and government sources to support Mr Moore’s invention, the Vertiia.
