As an oil and gas engineer working around the world with Shell, John learnt the importance of analysis, imagination and well planned implementation. As CEO at Woodside Petroleum, he learnt that our behaviours are as important as good business processes in achieving outstanding financial outcomes.
As a non-executive at CSL, the Reserve Bank and Origin Energy, the value and importance of trust and openness between board and management, and amongst directors themselves was reinforced.
John chairs the IP Australia Steering Group.
