Shane Meaney
Senior Investment Manager

Shane invests across the new economy at IP Group: clean energy, critical minerals, advanced manufacturing, and next-generation computing. He works with founders commercialising deep science, and sits on the boards of several portfolio companies.
Before venture, Shane worked in research commercialisation at UNSW, helping spin out companies in quantum technology and clean energy. He started his career as a researcher in Materials Chemistry at Monash University. He joined IP Group in 2021.
Shane holds a PhD in Chemistry and bachelor’s degrees in Chemical Engineering and Science.
